HAZLETT OWENS (JOHN1) was born 06 October 1800 in Principio, Cecil County, Maryland, and died 25 March 1892 in Perryville, Cecil County, Maryland. About 1827 he married NANCY ANN WEBB and she died about 1832. Hazlett Owens then married ADELINE J. BENJAMIN, the daughter of George Benjamin and SarahTaylor, on 29 July 1833. She was born 05 November 1810 and died 09 February 1855.

Children of HAZLETT OWENS and NANCY ANN WEBB:

VIRGINIA ANN OWENS was born 11 November 1828 in Perryville, Cecil County, Maryland, and died 30 December 1905 in Port Deposit, Cecil County, Maryland. She was married on 25 May 1844 in Wilmington, Delaware by Morgan J. Rhees to James Touchstone. He was born 03 October 1821, and died 14 December 1872.

CAROLINE OWENS was born about 1829 in Perryville.

FRANCIS A. OWENS was born about 1831 in Perryville and married Dr. Samuel J. Morris.

JOHN W. T. OWENS was born about 1835 in Perryville.

WILLIAM J. OWENS was born about 1836 in Perryville.

GEORGE H. OWENS was born about 1838 in Perryville.

REBECCA OWENS was born about 1841 in Perryville.

HAZLETT FRANCIS OWENS was born about 1843 in Perryville and served in the Sixth Maryland Infantry with James Touchstone

AMELIA OWENS was born about 1844 in Perryville.

ELMORE OWENS was born on 15 December 1845 in Perryville.
