GGG Grandparents

The Henry Touchstone who died in Harford County in 1828 is most likely the father of James Touchstone. We know that Hester was definitely the sister of James Touchstone, but I am speculating as to the other possible siblings shown below. I also suspect that the Agnes Touchstone shown in the 1850 census was the mother of James Touchstone, most likely being a second or third wife of Henry.

Children of HENRY TOUCHSTONE and WIFE:

HESTER A. TOUCHSTONE married Rev. William A. Brown, son of William Brown and Ann Spear. He died about 1844. They were the parents of a well known poet, Emma Alice Browne, who was born in 1836 and died 06 February 1890 in Danville, Illinois.

HENRY E. TOUCHSTONE was born about 1812. He married Ann M. and his occupation is shown in the 1850 census as "Plasterer".

JOHN W. TOUCHSTONE was born about 1817 and died about February 1885. He married Caroline. Will dated 18 November 1884 and proven 19 February 1885.

JAMES TOUCHSTONE was born 03 October 1821, and died 14 December 1872. He was married to Virginia Ann Owens, daughter of Hazlett Owens and Nancy Webb, on 25 May 1844 in Wilmington, Delaware by Morgan J. Rhees. She was born 11 November 1828 in Perryville, Cecil County, Maryland and died 30 December 1905 in Port Deposit, Cecil County, Maryland.
