JOHN SWISHER, a son of John Schweiber, was born about 1790 and died 1845 in Hampshire County, Virginia. He first married CATHERINE TROUT on 02 April 1811, born about 1791, and died after 1833 in Augusta County, Virginia. He then married Mary J. Grow after 1833. She was born in Taylor County, Virginia.

Note: Dixie Ann Hansen received a letter in July 1986 from Albert J. Summerfield who lives in Seattle, Washington. His letter, in part, says:

"The family record written by John Arnold Harris Swisher says "Elizabeth (3rd child of John Swisher and Catherine Trout) was born the 5th of Dec. 1813). Married Wiliam Henderson of Augusta Co. VA. Moved to Lewis Co. now Upshur County WVA. Some of her descendents, children of her son John, still live in that county. Son Page and family live near Buchannon. One daughter Hester married a man named Summerville and lived in Grafton. Lucy married a man by the name of Eckess. They moved to Florida."

MARY SWISHER was born 16 October 1811 and married John Coyner.

ANNA SWISHER was born 08 November 1812 and married Joseph Spore.

ELIZABETH SWISHER was born 05 December 1813 in Augusta County, Virginia and died 07 January 1894 in Lorentz, West Virginia in the home of her son-in-law, George W. Smith. She married William Henderson, the son of James Henderson and Ann Caldwell 09 September 1834 in Augusta, Virginia. He was born 07 May 1810 in Augusta, Virginia and died 04 February 1892 in the home of his son-in-law, George W. Smith in Lorentz, Upshur County, West Virginia.

JOHN SWISHER was born 04 March 1815.

SARAH SWISHER was born 06 November 1816 and married Jacob Swisher.
