My father followed in his father's footsteps and always maintained a very high standard of integrity in all matters personal and public. He was a successful merchant, the president of a bank, a good friend to his friends, a fine father to his sons and a devoted husband to his wife. We all benefited greatly from knowing him.
My mother was a very beautiful woman and the love of my Dad's life. She was a good mother and in the last few years of her life I gained a greater appreciation for her as a person that I had not been able to achieve in earlier years.
